What is Kendall?

Kendall is a census-designated place in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the area had a total population of 75,371.

While the US Census Bureau has defined the boundaries of Kendall, many locals have their own definitions. Some believe the communities of West Kendall, Glenvar Heights, Sunset, Olympia Heights, Westwood Lakes and Tamiami to all be sub-communities of Kendall, Miami while some people also believe the neighborhood of The Falls to be a separate entity.

Kendall is an unincorporated community in Miami-Dade County, Florida, located about 10 miles southwest of Miami along U.S. Route 1. Situated on the edge of the Florida Everglades, Kendall is home to the Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, one of the Miami metro area’s general aviation airports. The community was named after an executive of the British Land Company, an organization responsible for mapping and surveying many parts of the state of Florida. Other nearby communities include Cutler Ridge (5 miles to the south) and Coral Gables (8 miles to the north).

Much of what is now Kendall was purchased from the State of Florida in 1883 by the Florida Land and Mortgage Company. It was named for Henry John Broughton Kendall, a director of Florida Land and Mortgage who moved to the area in the 1900s to manage the company’s land. As the land was not open to homesteading, development was slow well into the 20th century. A post office opened in 1914, and the first school opened in 1929. After the end of the land boom in 1926, some residents left. Two Seminole camps were in the Kendall area, and Seminoles continued to live there into the 1940s.

What is a camera?

A camera or spy camera or camera is a still or video camera used to record people without their knowledge. The term “camera” is commonly used in reality TV shows, sometimes when subjects are unaware that they are being recorded, and sometimes with their knowledge and consent. The term “spy camera” is generally used when the subject would normally be expected to object to being recorded as an invasion of their privacy. The term “camera” is commonly used to provide a justification for a surreptitious recording and can be contrasted with CCTV, which is visible and which sometimes is accompanied with a warning notice of its presence.

The camera may be “hidden” because it is not visible to the subject being filmed, or is disguised as another object. Such a camera may not be visible to the subject, for example, because it is fitted with a long-focus lens and located beyond the view of the subject, or located, say, behind a two-way mirror. Cameras can be built into commonly used objects such as television sets, smoke detectors, clock radios, motion detectors, ball caps, plants, and mobile phones. Cameras may be used for household surveillance and may also be used commercially or industrially as cameras. The proliferation and lower costs of video recording devices has led to an increase in the use of cameras for legitimate surveillance need, as well as for entertainment and other purposes.

The use of cameras raises personal privacy issues and there may be legal aspects to consider, depending on the jurisdiction in which use takes place. But aside from that you got to think about the security it can provide to you and your family, especially If you have children, pets, old family members or even valuable stuff that you want to give protection, or if you have a business and want to protect your property, this can be a pretty good way to feel secure.

Description of a camera

A camera can be wired or wireless. The former will be connected by cable to a viewing or recording device, such as a TV, VCR, network video recorder (NVR), digital video recorder (DVR), memory card or other data storage medium; whereas a wireless camera can transmit a video signal to a receiver within a small radius, where the images may be viewed or recorded. Cameras may also have an audio capability. A camera may be activated manually, by remote control or be connected to a motion detector.

When choosing a camera there are some things that need to be considered.

Viewing and Video Storage

Most of the higher quality cameras will record video to a standard SD card, but some will record to built-in memory. It is my opinion that recording to an SD card is a much easier option for several reasons.

You can easily increase the recording capacity by using a larger capacity SD card. To view the video you can easily remove the SD card and view it on your computer. With built-in memory cameras, you would need to remove the camera and connect it to a computer to view the video.

Battery Powered or Outlet Powered

Most of the time it is better to use an AC outlet powered camera so that you do not need to worry about the batteries running low. In some cases, however, this is not possible.

When a camera is built into something that is normally AC powered it will not require batteries. A DVD player camera for example.

Some cameras would not look natural if they had a power cord. Some examples battery powered cameras are the hook cameras, plant cameras smoke alarm/detector cameras.

When choosing the battery-powered option be sure to check the battery life. Make sure that it fits your needs.

Night Vision & Low Light Cameras

There are also low light and night vision cameras. A camera that says that it is low light still needs some light to capture a picture. You can tell how sensitive the camera is by the lux. rating. The lower the number in the lux. rating the better the camera can see in low light conditions.

A night vision equipped camera can see in complete darkness. This is achieved by using infrared illumination. With invisible IR the light emitted cannot be seen by the human eye but a black and white camera can see it. Most cameras with night vision use a color camera when there are good lighting conditions and switches automatically to black and white when in darkness.

As you can see there are many things to consider when choosing a camera. Modern technology has come a long way in the last decade making it easier and less expensive to obtain high quality cameras

This is very special and important for the security that you can feel with your house, to keep your kids safe, to keep your loved ones, to keep the material things with value that could be at your house, or even to keep people away from your house. The cameras do a great job to see without being seen, and their prices vary so you can be able to buy at the price you can have it and feel secure whether you are home or not.
